"Well, is that the all mighty Charlotte Lamb? The sexiest of all nekos?" Allie mused as she strolled toward the neko, her old partner. The two kissed cheeks, giggling silently.
"Oh quiet you." Charlotte blushed, hiding her freckled cheeks behind wild curls. "I am so glad that you came today. Once Ann Marie shows up, I have wonderful news!"
"Did you finally get rid of that douche-bag of a fiancée? What was his na—"
"George. And yes. We got in an argument, and he…" She choked, "I shot him." Blue eyes went wide, a small grin releasing the vampress' fangs. "What? Don't give me that look! It was bound to happen."
"Yes, but I was expecting you to be the one with a bullet. Not the other way around. So, did the devil live?" A soft nod. "Well, at least he's gone, right? Are you with someone else now?"
"Yes, actually I went to therapy and—"
"Oh laaaaaaadies!" Ann Marie made her grand entrance into the small café, her neon green eyes glistening as she hummed a soft tune, dancing to the girls. "Today is such a beautiful day! And to be with my two faaaavourite girls is such a joy!"
"Oh Ann, you have impeccable timing. I was just about to tell Allie what my big news was." Charlotte smiled wide.
"Well, spit it out!" Ann plopped herself on a chair, staring into the neko's eyes. "GO GO GO!"
"Okay, okay." She laughed. "As I was saying, after George disappeared, I went into therapy for the abuse, which helped. A lot. And I began volunteering in helping other women with their domestic violence. And that's where I met Geoff." The other two ooo'd as the red-headed neko blushed. "He was actually abused by his fiancée—a woman!" She corrected. Everyone always confused him to be homosexual…for some reason. "And so we helped each other a lot. He's an aspiring photographer. Like Thom, just not professional. But yeah, we hit it off and we've been dating for about eight months now."
"Awe, that's wonderful Char!" Allie piped, giving the girl a grand hug from over the table. "I always knew you'd find someone."
"Oh, but that's not all." Charlotte's eyes lit up, grinning from ear to ear. "About two weeks ago, we found out we're pregnant."
"Oh.My.God!" Ann Marie screamed, all three girls jumping up and down in excitement. "How far along are you??"
"Only about 7 to 8 weeks. Ladies, I'm going to be a mommy!"
